In line with Government guidelines our playgrounds will remain open, albeit with strict restrictions in place. To minimise risk, numbers are limited and hygiene measures must be adhered to.

All playgrounds are different, so please check the specific guidelines for the playground you intend to use. For full information visit our Playgrounds and Outdoor Gym page.

Following the Government roadmap announcement on 22 February, we anticipate that our outdoor sports facilities will be able to re-open during the second phase of Step 1 (i.e. not before 29 March at the earliest).  Sports fixtures bookings for 29 March onwards will be processed but may be subject to cancellation, should Government guidance change.

Thank you for your co-operation.

These include cricket pitches, football pitches, basketball courts, table tennis tables, gym equipment, BMX tracks and a skate park.

Most of the sports clubs within Leighton-Linslade are associated with Leighton-Linslade Sports Council which is supported via grant funding by Leighton-Linslade Town Council.

BMX Track Improvements

Our latest play area improvement has seen the upgrading of our BMX style pump track at Vandyke & Danes Way Playing Fields. The redesign and resurfacing of the old gravel tracks with tarmac provides a great place to start building up BMX biker skills, and the circuits are also designed for skateboards, rollerblades, scooters and mountain bikes. Perfect for practising, they are safe to ride and fun for all ages and skill levels.

A 2m wide track has been installed utilising a series of new jumps, reshaped to make 2 straights for riders to use.
