The Town Council aim to keep both parishioners and visitors to the town up to date with the latest information relating to local amenities, facilities, future projects and developments and much more.
Here you will find electronic versions of the key Town Council produced publications. If you would prefer to pick up a hard copy of any of these publications you can collect them from The Town Council Office, The White House (Hockliffe Street) or the Library (Lake Street).
The Town Council produces a newsletter ‘About Town’ which is released bi-monthly. The newsletter’s purpose is to keep residents and visitors informed of the latest Council initiatives and gives information relating to upcoming events, council meetings, proposed projects and much more. Five Year Plan
The new Five Year Plan has been developed to provide a clear understanding of what the Council is working towards and how it intends to deliver its key objectives. The Town Council’s vision is: “a community to be proud of”. The plan was approved by Council in January 2019 and outlines a number of objectives the council intend to achieve by 2024.
What’s on Guide
The What’s on Guide is created by The Town Council annually, it provides a calendar of events taking place in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade organised by the Town Council and other community groups and organisations.
The Town Guide is created and published every two years by Local Authority Publishing and is supported by the Town Council. It provides an insight into the history, local amenities and services available in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade along with a detailed map of the Town.
The Town Council has worked in partnership with LB First and South Bedfordshire to create a directory of all the local shops and services available in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade.
The Tourism Leaflet was created to provide visitors to the town a easy to use map when navigating to the various Tourism points of interest.
Information Booklet for Older People
The Information Booket for Older People was put together by the and Bassett Road Surgery Patient Participation Group and Volunteers. It provides information on services available to Older People in the Leighton-Linslade area.
The Green Spaces leaflet provides a fantastic insight into the green spaces which surround Leighton-Linslade, it includes parks, playgrounds and open spaces. The leaflet was produced by Leighton-Linslade P3 (people, projects and partnerships) group and supported by the Town Council.
The Annual Report is created every year and allows residents to see how we have managed our resources, including the precept we receive as a proportion of Council Tax paid by Leighton Buzzard and Linslade residents and the income generated by services such as the street market, hire of sports pitches, cemeteries and allotments.
