Our Christmas Festival returned to the High Street & Church Square on Friday 29th November – Sunday 1st December 2019, with a wide range of activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Friday kicked off our Christmas Festival in style, with our lights switch on at 7pm and over 30 craft and gift stalls as well as the ever popular food court, funfair and firework display.
Saturday saw Santa’s Grotto alongside the regular Saturday Charter Market, Pop-Up Market and Christmas entertainment throughout the day, this year featuring Granny Tourismo and Juggling Jim. Leighton Fun Runners returned with their annual Santa Dash from Church Square during the morning and the funfair remained in the High Street until late in the day.
Sunday was our traditional family day, with the funfair and an array of street entertainers creating a unique atmosphere which was perfect for getting into the festive spirit. Nathaniel Howell the Victorian Gentleman Juggler brought his twist of humour and fun to the High Street alongside the Eureka Jazz Band and giant bouncing snowmen.
This year’s event was fully booked. If you would like to take part in next year’s event, bookings will go live in September 2020 so watch this space!
