Running over three days, the Christmas Festival starts with the Christmas light switch on and Firework display to mark the start of Christmas in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade.
The Living History Business Trail uncovers the history of shops and businesses within the town from yesteryear.
Music in the Park
Live music in our historic bandstand throughout June - September. Bring a chair and come and enjoy the music. Refreshments available from Cafe in the Park.
The Big Lunch Food Festival
We invite you all to come and celebrate not only local food and produce but food from all around the world.
Linslade Canal Festival
The Canal Festival will be replaced with a Films in the Paddocks event on Saturday 31st July & Sunday 1st August. More details can be found on the Films in the Paddock page.
Community events & projects
This usually takes place on May Day but in 2022 it will take on Friday 3rd June due to the change in bank holiday. The event welcomes many stalls (trade, food and charity) which fill the High Street. There is a funfair and children's rides in Church Square and Parson's Close Recreation Ground.
A popular June event seeing an impressive truck convoy make its way through Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard. Meeting at an end location for celebration event raising money for charity. Follow the link below for more info.
Picnic in the Park
This event usually takes place on the fourth Wednesday in June each year. But in 2021 the event will be on Wednesday 15th September. Summer time fun for your little ones! Entertainment arena, programme of entertainment, attractions and rides, free activities and crafts, shopping stalls and food and drink for everyone to enjoy.
Companion Dog Show
July 2020. Linslade Obedience and Ringcraft Club hold their annual Companion Dog Show every July in Linslade Recreation Ground. The Show is open to all and is a fund raising event for two local charities, usually dog or animal related.
Leighton-Linslade Carnival is held on the second Saturday of July every year in Parson's Close Recreation Ground from 11am until 4pm. The Carnival raises money for good causes and is a great family friendly event with stalls, rides, the float procession and more.
September 2020 A family friendly Movie, Gaming and Comic Festival held at Brooklands Middle School, raising money for Charity. This years chosen charity is Keech Hospice. Follow the link to find out more
November 2020. Annual Remembrance Parade from Lake Street to Church Square from 10:15. There are a number of events throughout the day, including the Remembrance Day service.
Christmas Tree Festival
Friday 19th - Sunday 21st November 2021. St Barnabas Church and All Saints Church take turns to hold the annual Christmas Tree Festival, showcasing a beautiful collection of trees decorated by local groups.
24th December. The Annual Christmas Carols in the High Street takes place on Christmas Eve from 7pm. Organised by the Leighton-Linslade Rotary Club, this family event is a great start to the Christmas festivities bringing the town together. It is hoped this event will take place in 2021.
