Planning and Transport Committee

Summary:

The Town Council is a consultee in the planning process, in the same way as individual residents may be consultees on local planning applications.  The Council is required to respond within set timescales and the Planning and Transport Committee therefore meets every three weeks to consider planning applications and transport matters within the Parish. All meetings are open to the public and residents are welcome to come and speak about applications under review, although we would strongly recommend all comments are also sent directly to the planning officer at Central Bedfordshire Council.

All comments and recommendations from meetings are included in the minutes, which are forwarded to Central Bedfordshire Council as the Planning and Highways Authority. Some applications will be determined by the assigned planning officer and others will be determined by the CBC Development Management Committee.
