Fun Dog Show
Celebrating traditional skills, canal life and conservation
Saturday 28th July, 11am – 5pm
The ever popular canal festival returns to Linslade on Saturday 28th July, celebrating and highlighting the countryside in which we live and rural crafts of yesteryear.
The festival features a mix of Old English crafts and skills, alongside a more modern mix of food stalls, craft exhibits and activities for the whole family to enjoy. On the canal a vibrant mixture of working, historical and trade boats display their wares in addition to the colourful pleasure boats which visit the festival. The boats offer the perfect opportunity to purchase that unique gift for a loved one, or a gentle afternoon browse away from the hustle & bustle of a busy shopping centre.
Throughout the day the main stage will feature a mixture of traditional folk and English country music, together with some more contemporary numbers from local performers. Our Fun Dog Show returns for its third successive year, with entries available on the day.
In 2017, over 9,000 people took the opportunity to visit the festival and share time with family and friends in the countryside environment, which is unique to this event. With a wide range of food stalls and a licensed bar on site, eating/drinking whilst taking a seat on a hay bale, is all part of the festival and enjoyed by many annually.
If you are interested in taking part in the Canal Festival as a stall holder, exhibitor, demonstrator or canal boat owner, please return the expression of interest form found here CF 2018 Expression of Interest or make contact with a member of the team by emailing (Farrah.email@example.com) or telephoning (01525 631918).
