Allotments Update

The Town Council is endeavouring to maintain our services with available resources in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes our allotment sites.  For the latest information for allotment tenants, or for those who wish to apply for a plot or are currently on the waiting list, please click the appropriate button below.

Our Allotment Sites

Leighton-Linslade Town Council owns and manages two allotment sites:

  • Weston Avenue Allotment (Weston Avenue, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4QZ) has 180 plots
  • Alwin’s Field Allotment (Alwin’s Field, Linslade, LU7 2UF) has 88 plots.

The annual price for an allotment is Half Plot  £20.00

Allotment rent is from 1 January to 31 December and on acceptance of an Allotment you agree to pay full rental for that year plus a one off fee of £5.00 for the security gate key. From then on the rent is invoiced annually in October as nine months arrears and three months in advance.

If you are over 60 years old you will be entitled to a 50% concession, photo ID will be required (passport, driving license or bus pass).

The plots and waiting list will usually be reviewed in March, August* and October each year therefore if a plot does become available to you, this is when a member of the team will be in touch.
