Financial Regulations
The latest Financial Regulations, based on a Model developed by the National Association of Local Councils, were adopted by Council at a meeting held on 26 January 2015. The regulations cover Annual Estimates (Budgets), Budgetary Control, Accounting and Audit, Banking Arrangements and Cheques, Payment of Accounts, Payment of Salaries, Loans and Investments, Income, Order for Works Good and Services, Contracts, Payments Under Contracts for Building or Other Construction Works, Stores and Equipment, Assets Properties and Estates, Insurance, Charities, Risk Management, and Internal Control

Public Notice of the Period for the Exercise of Public Rights (Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2016)

Leighton-Linslade Town Council’s annual return needs to be reviewed by an external auditor appointed by the Public Sector Appointments Limited. Any person interested has the right to inspect the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates.

Public Notice of Conclusion of Audit
Local Councils in England with an annual turnover of £1 million or less must complete an annual return summarising their annual activities at the end of each financial year. In this annual return the term ‘local council’ means a Parish Meeting or a Parish Council or a Town Council. Notice is hereby given that the audit for the year ending 31 March 2015 was completed on 18 September 2015. The accounts are now available for inspection by local electors in accordance with Section 14 of the Audit Commission Act 1998.
