Tea Dances

Calendar of dates for 2012 Tea Dances

A Gala Tea Dance was held to celebrate the Royal Wedding and those who attended  were dressed in all their finery.  Hats, tiara's and spakling dancing shoes were on show and the gentleman, not to be out done wore some very colourful bow ties!

There was a wonderful party atmosphere and dance instructors Arthur and Pat Matterson kept everyone on their feet, a cup of tea and fancy cakes were much appreciated during the break.

The Town Council introduced a series of regular monthly Tea Dances in 2005 and since then their popularity has continued to grow with up to 45 residents attending each one.

The dances are led by experienced local couple Arthur and Pat Matterson and feature a combination of sequence and ballroom dancing. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and anyone that would like to attend is guaranteed a warm welcome.

Tea dances are held on a Thursday afternoon at the Bell Close Sports Association Club House in Lake Street, Leighton Buzzard (opposite Morrisons Supermarket) from 2 pm until 4.30 pm and tickets cost just £3.20 per person.  Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis from the Town Council Offices, The White House, Hockliffe Street. You are advised to purchase you tickets in advance as tickets may not be available on the door.
