Music in the Park 2010
Brass and Silver Bands from across the three counties region perform during the summer months on the bandstand in Parsons Close Recreation Ground. Concerts begin at 3 pm and finish at 5 pm unless otherwise stated. Refreshments are on sale during the concert interval and some seating is provided in the park, although many people prefer to bring their own, lightweight chairs. Free car parking is available in Duncombe Drive and in Church Square, both of which are within easy walking distance of the park.
All concerts are FREE ADMISSION. Light refreshments are available to buy during the interval and this year they are provided by the following organisations as part of their annual fundraising; Church Riverside Scouts, Riverside WI, Town Womens Guild, Leighton-Linslade Mother's Union and the Homeless Service.
Music and Picnic in the Park takes place on Sunday 8 August. This is the Town Council's annual evening concert and starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 9.00pm. Fenny Stompers Jazz Band will once again be performing on the bandstand, so remember to bring along your own picnic and chairs and enjoy the atmosphere.
