The Town Council’s Big Lunch Food Festival last Sunday bought an estimated 4500+ people into the town centre and once again proved to be a popular one day event. Social media feedback claimed, “Best one yet,” and “Love this town. Year on year it’s improved.”
The event was opened by Mayor Cllr Syed Rahman supported by Deputy Mayor Cllr Clive Palmer and his wife. Cllr Rahman, who himself is fasting during this period of Ramadan said, “We were thrilled to see so many people enjoying themselves.”
With an array of foods from around the world to choose from, the glorious sunny weather was great for al fresco dining. Live music, high tempo swing dancing and local dance troupe, Dance Energy, provided crowd-pleasing entertainment alongside free activities for all ages to enjoy.
Two eccentric moustachioed waiters, Bicycle Bistro, unleashed choreographed cafe mayhem as one of the show stoppers throughout the day. Visitors also enjoyed cookery demonstrations and culinary tips from Artisan Cooks, whilst others dabbled in pizza making and sushi making master classes.
Leighton-Linslade Town Council would like to say a Huge Thank You to everyone who supported this community event by attending on the day. We would be grateful if you could share any feedback, highlights or pictures with us. Take our short survey here: http://ow.ly/x3qO30czO4c We hope to see you again next year! #LBFoodFest
