Grants

There are three types of grants on offer from the Leighton-Linslade Town Council. To qualify for these grants, various criteria must be met, which can be downloaded below.

 

 

GENERAL GRANTS

Your organisation could be eligible for a community grant up to £500 for specific projects provided you meet the criteria which requires that your group :

  • is a not-for-profit group
  • can use the grant within one year
  • has aims and objectives that are clear and well defined and are a real benefit to the community of Leighton-Linslade
  • has a bank or building society account with at least two joint signatories
  • has annual accounts or a statement of income and expenditure
  • has a clear financial need has an awareness of the effect of the project on the environment.

Second round applications will be welcomed from September 2012.



 

START-UP GRANTS

Grants of up to £250 are also available for start-up groups. We will need to know :

  • why you want to start the group and how it will be continued
  • how much support you have from people wanting to join or run the group
  • how you know there is a need
  • projected income/expenditure for your first year and a copy bank statement

GUARANTEED GRANTS

The Guaranteed Grant scheme offers organisations funding of over £500 per year, for a four-year period.  Examples of the type of organisation that may be successful in receiving these grants are organisations that:

  • need this type of funding to assist with their own strategic planning
  • have a wide impact across the community of Leighton Buzzard and Linslade
  • have a high level of community inclusivity
  • are "umbrella" organisations who may redistribute the grant funding amonst smaller, deserving organisations (e.g. Sports Council, Arts Forum)
