Cemeteries

The Town Council owns and operates two cemeteries:

VANDYKE ROAD 

Opened:               1884
Car parking:         Space for approximately 10 -12 cars
Chapel:                 Seats 32 people 
                              Organ with stand
                              Services and Hymn Books (details in cemetery folder)

Mainly operates a lawn only policy which restricts the type and size of memorial allowed.  One headstone, vase, tablet or wooden cross permissible.    Currently kerbstones are permitted, in the old part of the cemetery only.  Maximum size 7ft x 3ft. 

OLD LINSLADE

Opened:               1964
Car parking:         Space for 8 cars

Operates a lawn only policy which restricts the type and size of memorial allowed.   One headstone, vase, tablet or wooden cross permissible.
