Mayoral Change Over!

On Monday 21 May 2012, part one of the Annual General Meeting will take place at 19:30 at The White House. At this meeting, the title of Town Mayor will be passed from Cllr Gordon Perham to the newly elected Mayor. The Mayor of the Town Council will be voted in by the Councillors. Cllr Perham will be presenting cheques to his selected charities during the evening. Anyone is welcome!

Notice of Audit

Each year the Council’s annual return is audited by an auditor appointed by the Audit Commission and any person interested has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the annual return and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them. These documents will be available on reasonable notice by application from 28 May 2012 to 26 June 2012 during our office opening hours.

Diamond Jubilee Event (Mon 4 June 2012)

The Town Council are organising a FREE event on Monday 4 June 2012 at Pages Park to celebrate the Queen's Dimond Jubilee! Lots of activities for all the family will be running during the day for all to enjoy. In the evening, a big screen will be in the park where you can watch the Jubilee Concert.

The AA Big Litter Pick Campaign (12 – 22 May 2012)

This is an opportunity to help to remove a lot of the unsightly your house and neighbourhood in Leighton-Linslade! The idea is sometime during the fortnight people will take to the streets for 30 minutes to an hour to remove the most visible litter such as plastic bottles and sweet papers. We would love it if you could help the cause!
