Leighton-Linslade Commemorates WW1 Centenary

As part of the nationwide commemoration of the Start of the First World War, Leighton-Linslade Town Council’s Living History Day on Saturday 4 October will provide a visual and interactive experience of the story of the Great War.

 


Town Mayor's Charity Ball

Temporary Beach

The temporary beach situated in Parson's Close Recreation Ground throughout the summer has now been removed. We hope you all had a chance to enjoy it! Please let us know your thoughts on the beach, we appreciate any feedback: info@leightonlinslade-tc.gov.uk


 

Town Mayor's Grand Raffle

Would you like the chance to win a large hamper filled by Waitrose? Raffle tickets are only £1 each and they are available from The White House and Selections Hardware Stores.


 

Community Grants

The Town Council is now accepting second-round applications for General Grants 2014-2015. Grants of up to £500 avaliable.

Splash and Play

The 'Splash and Play' park in Parsons Close will remain open until 14th September. It will then close for the Winter and re-open in time for Spring/Summer 2015.


 

Linslade Canal Festival

A big thank you to everyone that attended the Linslade Canal Festival on Saturday, both exhibitors and visitors. It was a huge success, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Please send any feedback to info@leightonlinslade-tc.gov.uk.


 

Annual Report

The Annual Report is now complete. Within this report, you will read about exciting new initiatives, including the grand opening of the Astral Sports and Community Facility, the commencement of refurbishment works on the Mentmore Road Pavilion and the temporary beach that can be enjoyed in Parson’s Close for three months in the summer. You will also see how we have managed our resources, including the precept we receive as a proportion of Council Tax paid by Leighton Buzzard and Linslade residents and the income generated by services such as the street market, hire of sports pitches, cemeteries and allotments


 

TACTIC Summer Project's

If you know any young people (aged 12 - 19) that are looking for positive things to do over the summer holiday then have a look at Tactic's Four Week Summer Programme. All activities (except Thursday's trips out) are completely free!


 

Mentmore Road Pavilion

Mentmore Road Pavilion is currently undergoing a full internal refurbishment. The project will be complete by Monday 8th September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
